Can you spot Kevin, this week's Red Panda, readers? |
There's been some disgruntlement muttered over the years about the "low quality" of the loadups handed out freely for your abusement. In order to address this "issue", henceforth, all deliverables are to be upgraded to @193, going forward.
Respectfully thine,
Farquhar Throckmorton III
Great, now i'll have to request re-ups for, well, everything!
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that this upgrade has been programmed to work historically - so any previous downloads you installed will be automatically augmented with that crucial "up-to-eleven" 1 kbps. I'm hoping this Hi-Res CD quality file digitisation will satisfy the most demanding H-Fi fool!
DeleteKevin? we need to Talk about Kevin. Screw you guys I'm going to my room! It's so unfair! Kevin is Kute. When I was a Kid i was Kute Too ...I had Dimples would you believe? I was a Chameleon baby started out with Auburn Hair & Green Eyes went Super Blond/White- blond with hazel eyes c 3. Mum let my hair grow, dressed me up in a Sailor Suit & even in actual dresses & she loved to embarass me years later about how I was a beautiful toddler & people used to complement her about what a pretty daughter she had LOL. By 5 though when I started Primary I was Sandy Blonde/Straw Blonde ...by end of the year I was brown haired & brown eyed mr boring.
DeleteYeah, right.....I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole (or a ten foot czech for that matter). Hope that you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteNow you're talkin!
ReplyDeleteYou now have 52 profile views. Fascinating stuff!
DeleteInterweb disgruntlement . . . how novel. I know a special place for these disgruntlers . . . --Muzak McMusics
ReplyDeleteI just recently found out that your hiatus was no fun holiday but more the proverbial pain in the neck to the power of ten. I understand. I work with wheelchair-bound people, and i have seen pain. Pain, when there is not much one can do. A little triumph that you feel better now.
ReplyDeleteI'm having Electro-Magnetic Pulse Therapy, and every day has seen a small improvement. The pain (like severe toothache, but in the shoulder) has ebbed to a bearable ache and pins-and-needles, but my left arm is like a pool noodle with a glove on the end. I'm amazed and grateful to find treatment in my small local hospital. A few weeks to go, but I'm entirely hopeful I'll be able to compete in the Womens' Wrestling Championship in Bangkok later in the year.

DeleteNo cassette quality, no care.
ReplyDeleteI miss all the mechanical rattle and clunk of the tape and the player.
DeleteCassettes. Only last week I took a bag of (40) shop bought cassette tapes to my local second hand shop, they gave me £40 for them = Result! The shop owner told me that a few years ago people started buying them again and they still sell quite well, who would have thunk it?
DeleteBack in the dinosaur era, I had an aftermarket cassette deck in my car. Driving one day and the deck starts to eat my favorite tape, and I frantically tried to get the tape out of the deck. Forgot to stop the car while doing so, and as a consequence I ran into the back of a vehicle. A vehicle being a hearse with a casket in it. At least he was already dead.
DeleteI have a lot of cassettes left over from an earlier purge for reasons of strong 'sentimental' attachment. Awful format though. Incredible to think I used to spend big money on pre-recorded tapes of albums with almost no packaging and on tapes that made cheapo C120s seem substantial.
DeleteThey helped us kill music, though.
Deletebut mix tapes, y'all
DeleteNo problem!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're on the mend, Farq. While I've got you and the other deviants' ears I'm wondering if any of you know a way to capture streams such as embedded in this page?
ReplyDeletehttps://www.willisaujazzarchive.ch/people-acts/person/christy-doran.html
Sorry, no..
DeleteFar as I can tell, there are no streams as such embedded here; they appear to be just lists of performers for these shows. --Muzak McM.
DeleteI think you'd have to f ind a decent bit of recording software (as opposed to downloading) and hit play and then just record. --Muzak McM.
DeleteLast resort dept: Record in real time using Audacity or Wavepad. Then have fun splitting it into tracks.
DeleteWhat would you want? there is a lot available. Not on that site but archive.org, and the usual p2p, torrents etc
DeleteNews of pain reduction is wonderful. I join the other Four or Five Guys in loudly wishing you continued improvements!
